Dan & Dakota's Wedding Portraits

We first met Dan & Dakota last year, when they booked an engagement session as a part of their wedding with the studio. During that session, I got to know Dan & Dakota a little bit and we had an amazing time chasing the best the light through the streets of lower Manhattan. When working with brides and grooms, I always suggest an engagement session with the couple. It gives me a chance to get to know them and their story a little more which helps me to connect with them the day of their wedding.

Just like with their engagement session, Dan & Dakota brought a lightness with them to their wedding. Even on one of their most important (and let's face it... stressful days of their lives) they were calm, cool and collected. Some couples may get a bit worrisome on their wedding day; not Dan & Dakota. After taking portraits all around the Edgewood Country Club, this bride and groom decided to take a moment and have some coffee before their nuptials. How cute! How brave of Dakota, she drank espresso while sitting on a white couch in her couture wedding gown. I loved it ! It was a great moment and I'm happy my team and I were there to get it.

Another notable item from this wedding is the venue, the Edgewood Country Club. I have to say it is one of the most enjoyable venues to shoot in; as the light is radiant and the venue itself is beautifully decorated & cared for. Each part of the club is drowned in the most gorgeous and flattering sunlight making it every photographers dream.
