The time has finally come, your Bat Mitzvah day is booked and it’s time to start planning your big bash. Mazel Tov!
Let the party planning commence, may the odds be ever in your favor. There are a million and one things to check off your list, one of the most important being your teen photoshoot (a.k.a theme shoot). We gotta get that hype going, faster than chocolate at a Bat Mitzvah candy bar, so to speak.
Thanks to hubby-to-be Ryan, a little help from a close friend, and of course moi, the amazing photographer (unofficial title), this surprise engagement fell into place flawlessly.
It was a cool, August afternoon on top of the new Hudson Commons building in NYC, which provided the perfect backdrop for Ryan to pop the big question. As the photographer, I made sure to scout the location, prior to the event to ensure I always get the perfect shot.
Terri photographs authentic love and strives to find the perfect balance between creativity and preference. She has also photographed countless weddings, has a wealth of knowledge, and golden advice for engaged couples.
Michelle & Nick were all smiles during their engagement shoot with Terri Diamond.
We started collaborating with Michelle & Nick in October, (we’re pretty convinced that October is one of the best months out of the year for capturing love and magic) two weeks prior to the shoot, advising them with wardrobe and location. Not too rural, but not too urban either. Terri suggested the amazing Domino Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Noticing the cooler temperatures, Terri also suggested proper fall colors and attire.
Blake and Noah danced up a storm during their B'Nai Mitzvah. @rkndesigns handled the decor, and the confetti and light sabers really helped to set the mood. If you need any help planning your next, Bat, Bah, or B'Nai mitzvah, we can steer you in many right directions. After photographing at over 100+ Mitzvahs, Terri has a team of collaborators/vendors she loves to work with, and she's confident you'll love them too! Ready to party? We don’t know who had more fun with this themed shoot, Ava or Terri! In preparation for her 2019 Bat Mitzvah, Ava had some glamorous portraits taken at the new Domino Park in Brooklyn. The park was an old sugar factory until it underwent restoration to be reconstructed as a playground and community locus. Ava sported some great outfits, all complimenting her unique style throughout the day. After stopping at Miss Favelas for a few pastel portraits (We highly recommend their delicious Brazilian food!) the shoot came to a close. This individualized session was a beautiful success and one we believe Ava will always remember!
In this day in age, almost every teen has a social media platform of choice and some even dream of being social media influencers. Gifting them with a portrait session of tasteful images to enliven them before their Mitzvah is not only the standard these days, it is all but expected! That's where we come in! The images we deliver will not only capture the youth of your child forever, but will also make them the talk-of-the-town with all of their friends. Now booking for 2019!
We first met Dan & Dakota last year when they booked an engagement session as a part of their wedding with the studio. During that session, I got to know Dan & Dakota a little bit and we had an amazing time chasing the best the light through the streets of lower Manhattan. When working with brides and grooms, I always suggest an engagement session with the couple. It gives me a chance to get to know them and their story a little more which helps me to connect with them the day of their wedding.
Cristen & Adam had the right idea when they decided to have their engagement session in NYC. This shoot primarily took place by the Hudson River near this lovely couple's apartment. Their wedding is happening elsewhere but they wanted to make sure a bit of New York was represented in their images leading up to the big day.
What a wonderful time in your life. So now that you have found your perfect match and wedding plans are well on their way... It’s time to find a photographer to immortalize one of the most romantic days of your life... your wedding.
Let’s face it, finding your photographic match for your wedding can be stressful. From your mom to your best friend; everyone has an opinion and a style they like for you. Late night Instagram browsing sessions and Pinterest pinning make for good inspiration, but as a fiance, you are not only oversaturated with images and information but with decision too.
That's where we come in! Here are 8 tips that my team and I have come up with to make one decision easier for your wedding.
I'm fortunate that my studio tends to attract really sweet and in-love couples as wedding clients; which makes capturing their day something I look forward to. This was no exception for Ashley & Jordan's wedding, I felt excited and honored to capture their day at one of my favorite NJ venues the Crestmont Country Club.
